Trim your hair regularly and apply warm oil to the roots as well as to the tips of hair. Your hairs should be coated with oil from root to the tip. Let your hair get soaked in warm oil for couple of hours. Before taking shower steam your hair with hot towel treatment.

Hi Shalaka,
Do you ride in a two wheeler with open hair style? Are the ends of your hair safe from wind while riding?
I have seen, for many, this is the problem. They plait the hair thinking it will not fly away with the wind and everything is safe. But your ends which causes these splits are flying away with the wind to glory. That makes the hair dry and it leads to splits.
Tuck your hair ends inside your helmet or a band which you are wearing. After you reach the place you can redo it in the rest room.

You can also use castor oil to the hair to avoid splits.
Avoid using hair dryer or blower.
Avoid dyeing hair with chemicals.

In addition to all this tips, use a good quality conditioner. Herbal based conditioners are best to avoid any chemicals.
Henna is good conditioner but I have also seen some people with dry hair tends to get hair more dry with henna. Take some expert opinion if you wnat to use henna.

Mukti, you are right henna if not used in correct combination can make some hair more dry.
Youi can apply egg yolk for dry hair and wash with cold water. Avoid hot water as you will end up with omlette on hair :)
Best thing is keep your hair moisturized with oil.
