To a little turmeric powder. Add coconut oil and make a paste. Rub this on baby’s forehead, arm and legs. Leave it for 15 minutes. On this rub besan paste. And then rinse. Do this regularly till you find hair on the body becomes less . This treatment is effective for young girls too.

Small babies will have lots of hair growth till the age of 1.5 to 2; it is nothing to worry much. Make a mixture using, gram dal flour and moong dal flour; this should be a bit coarse; apply this paste, instead of soap while giving daily bath.

Dear Rajmi
Is it okay to rub coarse flour on baby. Would it scratch their skin or leave any marks?

The lady who came for the massage of my son would make a loi....that is a ball of the normal dough, and then move it like a ball on the young one's skin. This is supposed to take out all the extra hair from the toddler's skin as the hair sticks to the loi. THis is done after the massage and before the bath.

The dough is simply of flour and water, nor very soft as it will be sticky on the skin, neither hard otherwise hair will not stick onto it. Like the normal chappati flour. after this the baby should be bathed immediately, as any dough on the body would otherwise dry up, and will be hard to remove.
