Fenugreek is very effective in diabetes but it depends the way you eat it . To get all the benefits of fenugreek/methi. clean and soak methi/fenugreek seeds in water previous night. First thing in the morning chew methi seeds very thorroughly to fine paste and drink the water in which methi had been soaked.

karela juice(bitter gourd) is very good for diabetes. Drink fresh karela juice everyday first thing in the morning. Be careful if you are on metaformin or any diabetis medicine as there are chances of lowering your sugar level so keep a watch

Eat low carb, low fat food. Avoid Rice, potato, maida. In fact abstain from WHITE FOOD. white food is rice, potato, sugar, all purpose flour, banana. Eat coloful and bitter food like bitter melon(karela),amal, fenugreek(methi)
Saunf(Badishep),Ajwain, ginger. Avoid sweet fruits. You can eat grape fruit.

My parents take fenugreek, the first thing in the morning. But they soak the fenugreek not just in water, but in butter milk. This way, the taste is also quite ok and they say the effect is also more. Pls dont make a fine paste. Instead chew the fenugreek well and swallow.
