Apply eyeliner

I like eyeliner but not very good at applying fine eyeliner. Any tips on how to apply eyeliner and which are good eyeliner available?

I like Mary Kay eyeliners. I am not good at applying and carrying liquid eyeliner as they tend to get messy easily.

For Wider eys follow these easy steps
Step 1: Start with a completely naked eye, no shadow or mascara.
Step 2: Apply liquid liner in the upper lashes. Dot the liner into lashes, pushing them aside if need be. The result is not supposed to be a line. It's supposed to look as if the lashes themselves are super thick at the root.
Step 3: Apply mascara.
Step 4: Compare eye to other naked eye and see if you love the results.
This is a good chaneg if you apply line of eyeliner everyday.

For Bold and Dramatic eyes. Practice this at home before going live infront of people. It takes little bit of practice to get this effect if you are newbie.

On a clean eye, holding the skin of your upper lid taut, apply the liquid liner from the middle of the eye to the outside corner of the eye. Draw a second line from the inside corner of your eye, letting the two lines meet. The outer edge of the line should be thicker than the inside. If you have close-set eyes, avoid taking the line all the way to the inside corner.

To get your hand used to drawing perfect eyeliner try drawing fine lines with the eyeliner on some paper, so u get the hand of it. You can keep practicing at home drawing eyeliner. Try to lean towards mirror for closer look, half close your eyes. Remove the excess liquid from brush before using it, so that you get thin lines, then start drawing a line more closer towards the eye lashes on the lids, start from the inner part( near the nose towards the end) .
Keep practicing and you can play around having thin, thick, and different types of eyeliner drawn.
Do not share your eyeliner with anybody and keep it clean and change it after couple of months to avoid any eye infection.
remember to clean your make up before you go to bed.

Make sure you clean your make up using good cleanser. You can use baby oil to remove eye make up.

Do you know one of my friend would apply EYE LINER in a MOVING TRAIN?

I would sit and admire her, holding mirror in one hand and the brush in the other hand she would finish it with one application and what a perfect lining she would have!

Apart from all skills, I also feel it has more to do with neat eye sight too!

great tips gals. Mals, I admire girl who does eyeliner in moving train. It is diffcult to do with steady hand, standing on firm ground. I think it is all bout practice n good eye sight and control.

I have seen people doing make up when they stop at traffic light.
Mals, just imagine mumbai local at 7:30 am and lady doing her eyeliner and suddenly somebody comes n give her a push..... :mad::D:)

I too have seen women applying eyeliner and lipstick when the car halts for a signal and by the time they are done with one eye and lower or upper lip, the signal turns green!

They continue to finish their make up and move on without messing it up.

I admire such women!

Mals, even I have seen one such person some months back when I went to Chennai..I and my mil were in ladies compartment during the peak hours and there were lot of girls working in export companies travelling along with us..One girl was fast asleep when we boarded, but after a while she got up, set right her hair style, applied some cosmetics, lipstick, eyeliner, bindi etc and got down dressed to perfection..

EC, some girls are very quick in doing make up while travelling. They carry compact make up boxes.
