Anita,
This is a great initiative. And it is good to see the word moderator below your name too.
BTW, here are my suggestions:
1. Create a sub forum for posing forwards.
2. A sub forum that will help discuss personal problems (there are many experienced people, there are doctors, psychologists, who can guide people).
3. If you can allow people to list their birthdays and anniversaries (in their profile page) or if it is added in NaariSakhi's calender, then any one can see it. Wishes are always a boost on any one's birthday and wedding days.
If I get more suggestions, will post again

It is for members like me, who have time crunch but love to persuade their hobbies.
In Quick Links, there should be the following additions
SEARCH MEMBERS - I can have a quick search of a members profile from here.
My Threads - I can have a quick access to the threads started by me.
My Posts - I can have a quick access to the posts started by me.
Smileys - Add more smileys and let the members have the freedom to add at least 10 smileys to their post.
Pasting Pictures - I have noticed that I cannot paste pictures in my post rather have to add an attachment. If I have to say "thank you" I would like to paste a colourful picture of "Thank You" rather than an attachment.
Forum for Story Writers - There are no forums for Story Writers - Can we have one! I have many stories to tell!!
I am a professional astrologer cum vastu/Feng Shui Consultant. I know being a new member, I cannot raise this suggestion at such an early stage, but would appreicate, if you could dedicate a forum for me likes
Astrology Vastu and Feng Shui from Malspie so that I can keep all my posts under one name and forum.
Separate Forum for Entertainment
Here we can post reviews and threads on programmes of television and movies. I have already started my thread Filmy and TV Gupchups which is at the moment lying in General Discussions.
Spell check access in the bar and also justification aligment access in the bar
Thanks for giving me an opprotunity to pen in my thoughts and I am sure members would be glad to have these suggestions implemented.

Hi Anitha,
I am seeing random posting of Recipes in the forum and valuable collections may be lost with more threads coming in.
There should be separate Forum for Recipes with sub-category of recipes of each state so that they will be neatly assembled and accessed too.
Another Sub-Category will be
Soups and Salads
Pickles
Sherbets
Calories and Diet Check Recipes
Sweets and Saviours

Hi Anitha,
The purpose of having this site is clearly portrayed by the title but how did the concept of starting a website like this arise, who is the face behind it, where does he or she stay, we would like to know.

I am a new member and today is my 2nd day in this site.
I do not see the face of the Home Page changing, it is reflecting the same threads and same messages.
As when new threads are posted, it should reflect in the home page.
Popular threads should reflect in the home page.
Contests on run should reflect in the home page.
Name of the Winner of the contest should flash on the homepage for the whole month and later can have a mention on the home page.

New posts and thread are refreshed in the home page every 10 minutes. I am surprized that you cannot see new posts on home page.
Did you try refreshing your browser?
Which browser do you use so I can ask our techncal person to look into this.

We have created subforum for recipes. User can post recipes in Miscellaneous recipes wich does not have cateogry created and if we found too many recipes of any cateogry in misc recipes we will create dedicated subforum to that. Thanks Mals for your suggestion.

D. Drawing – Free Art and Pencil Sketches

Hello Administrators,
It takes 30 seconds for another post to go on the site and it is hell of time waste for a multi tasker for me.
I have kept my friends waiting on the chat line and have come here and spent all my valuable time waiting for the 30 seconds!
Please get this system out, it would help people like me who post in random and will also help me to post threads when I am in office!
With this waiting time, I can be caught with my pants...........

Hello Admin,
Shall we know on how many posts we get a new title like Jr. Member, Member, Sr. Member etc...
Which is the final grade?
This is out of curiosity, Malsey is at times very curious!

Post info on various topics regarding US, and so on?

We have reduced the wait time before posting new thread. This is to avoid spamming by spammers.

Hi Anitha,
I have yet to check on the wait time of 30 seconds being knocked off.
Glad to know about the existing titles for members with 'x' posts to their credits.
I will be back, when I can think of some good titles.
Thanks dear.

Anita,
Keeping in mind that there is'nt much traffic here, as yet, for the time being, we could start with one Forum...and then depending on the posts and where its heading we could create Sub-Forums.

Dear Anitha / Laxmi,
Quick Polls and Games are the forums that can invite lots of traffic to the site.
Many out there, may not be interested in reading longs posts and threads instead may love to participate in games and polls.
I notice that Polls are closed after few weeks, this will not only make the site boring also will not attract much members.
Polls should be kept open for a longer period for members to actively participate and make it interesting.

Mals you rock with all your posts. I like filmy gupchup. Is it a good idea to have separate thread for Indian Idol 4 where we can post our FB'S
This is suggestion for naarisakhi n Mals. What you gals think?

I feel we should discuss everything under Filmy gupcup. After some months Idian Idol 4 will get over and the thread will lie dead!
We can have a very healthy conversations in Filmy Gupchup and I am saying it with my personal experience as I am not only a member of Naari but also a leading website where all my threads are appreciated!
There is no harm in disucssing it under Filmy Gupchup. We are anyways discussing Dancing Queen, Nach Baliye 4 etc.. The thread title is Filmy and TV guchups.

In Jobs Offered / Wanted Forums - once the vacany is filled the post should be closed, it gives false hopes to the new members.
If the member does not return back with the information, Forum Moderator should close the thread after a period of certain days.

Hi Moderators,
I happen to click on the above mentioned fields and was surprised to see the contents of the Best Blog category is not living up to its title, I did not see some of the good to read blogs not being displayed under this category.
Now, when it comes to Naarisakhi Blogs, I find only few names are mentioned here! Any reason?

dear anita,
many like me may not be aware of URL and stuff so if you can just simplify and help us post the pictures along with the blog it enhances what we are trying to say like the cookery blog stage by stage one need to have the pictures there, and poems when posted with the picture in it gets great reviews.
like rajmi mentioning birthday is the best way to interact quickly with friends, who love to be wished on that special day and here too the insertion of birthday cards done by us is a great help, even in the comments section insertion of pictures should be made available right into the blog not as a manage pictures down below...
i enjoy these features...regards sunkan

February 26th, 2009, 07:53 AM
I support Sunkan in her suggestions.
It is damn boring to give links when we are wishing friends on their birthdays.
We should have the facility to paste the picture in the blog or thread, at the moment such facility is not available!
Anita
February 26th, 2009, 11:18 AM
Feature of pasting the picture in threads and blogs is in queue to technical team.
At this time best we can do is you can attatch the pic to blog or forums and will paste it for you, unitl this feature is implemented.

Photo contests have pictures of toddlers on the site. I think we should have an age group set for the contest as a 6 month old toddler cannot be judged against a 1 year old child.
If this rule exists, then sorry for the ignorance.

Naarisakhi, I thank you for giving us platform on naarisakhi. you have come up with so many contest. It is confusing to find which contest is running and which is closed, who is the winner?
My suggestion is to have a thread for the month where all the contests are linked, winners declared link so we can track all this beautiful contest.
