Oh Blinders,
Must you block the day
to lead so many souls astray.
Listen! You’re not made of threads,
so why do you just sit on heads,
closing off the golden way,
so we don’t know that we’re astray.

Blinders,
You are made of thoughts;
all those noughts and all those oughts.
All those yes-s and those no-s
give human minds great body blows
that send them reeling toward death itself,
robbing folks of inner wealth.

Blinders,
I am through with you.
Meditation’s loosened your glue.
Blinders,
Now I’m going to see.
You will no longer bother me.
For I have ripped you from my head
and flowered wisdom there instead.

......

With love and respect,

Chitrakar and Savitri

Never thought anyone could convey so much through the word Blinders..

It is through...First one needs to realize one is wearing one.. since we are soused to wearing it we think its part of the makeup

After realizing we need to make the effort to remove... very good one here:)

C&S, I agree with you. we are made up of thoughts and thoughts rule us. They control our state of mind. Good one,

C&S, good narration.
Surekha, I agree with you, thoughts rule us. If we dont control them, they control us.
