Do you like to wear Anklets (Payal)?

Your dressing is not complete without accessories. I understand that the modern women are compelled to stay away from some of the beautiful and traditional accessories because they have to strictly follow a dress code in the office. While some of us have given it up totally declaring it as outdated and boring and some out there are yearning to wear them.

Today, I would like to talk about Anklets or Payal which is one of the most beautiful accessories designed for a woman’s leg. Did the word Anklet bring sparkle in your eyes? Let me confess folks, it did in my eyes for sure. I cannot wear set of bangles and anklets to my office and also have to be very careful when I choose the colours of my clothes.

During school days I was not allowed to wear any accessory and during college days our western clothes did not go with the Anklets and now that I am working, I have another set of problem, though I have a treasured pair of anklet beautifully designed for my legs.

I do wear them on occasions! What about you gals! Do cast your votes and feedbacks?

I love to wear anklets but western dressing style does not give an opportunity to wear anklets everyday. I wear anklets during festival time. I love the tinklet sound.. it is so musical and feminine.

I love anklets with tinkles. Since it gets difficult to wear anklets with tinkles all the time, I wear anklets without tinkles everyday. On festive occassion I wear aklets with tinkles. I read somewhere there is scientific reason behind wearing anklets. It is good for reproductive system.

I agree that anklets do not go well with all the western outfits but have you tried the ones which are worn on one ankle only, also the ones which is like a thin string with no trinkets. They rock your feet. Do try them out!

Payals are one the most beautiful discovery in the accessory cadre for women. I agree, today most of them do not wear it keeping in view of the trousers trend, but Payals are here to stay.

Anklets are good for womens for reproductive system. The reflex points of uterus and fallopian tubes are the points where we wear anklets. Wear anklets and live a healthy life.

When I was newly maried anklets was part of my accessory. Now I wear it ocassionaly during festive time. I am jealous of you gals who wear it everyday. That is motivation for me to wear anklets and be proud of our culture.

Mals, I love anklets but had forgotten all about it in this busy life. Thanks for reminding me. I took it out of my jewellery box did some cleaning and polishing and I am wearing it right now. I ahev one pair without tinkles and one with tinkles. One with tinkles is for festivals,temples. Without tinkles is on casual wear. Most of time I have anklet without tinkles on me.

I too could never wear it in my college or school keeping the decorum in mind.

In office too cannot wear chim chim anklets as the carpets laid around would invite loud noise and I will be issued a "Warning Note" by Sr. Management.

Sometimes, I do wear the ones without tinkles and lovingly display it to my friends.

Anklets are hear to stay and will never go out of fashion.

Mals I like anklets with tinkles. This poll tells us that we have maintained our tradition and culture alhough it is not possible to wear anklets for some Sakhis, they wear it when there is an opportunity.
