Hi!


A recipe for masala poori....my own version of 'Masala'! Its great to eat 'as is'!


Masala Poori


1 cup - Wheat Flour
1/2 cup - Maida
1/2 cup - Gramflour (Besan)
1/2 tsp.- Turmeric Powder
1 tsp - Crushed Ajwain (crush it in the palm of ur hand only)
1/4 tsp. - Jeera Powder
2 - green chillies, finely chopped
A few sprigs of Green Coriander, chopped
Salt to taste
1 tbsp. - Hot oil


Mix together all ingredients with the hot oil, and and add water and make a dough as for Poori. Roll and deep fry. Serve with Pickle/Tomato Chutney or Raita!

U could omit the Maida altogether and instead add more of wheat and besan.

Ankie, I do masala puri without green chillies. after reading your recipe, i said let me try adding green chillies and there was lot of difference in taste.
Gals no other way for masala poori, try with green chillies and you will love it.

Ankie, I tried masala poori without maida, it was only wheat flour and besan.
It was yummy n tasty.

dear ankie,
i often make this masala poori but i use wheet fl.iit is very tasty.i also make parathas instead of poori.
