Dear Sakhis,
During festivals we prepare delicious foods and sweets which increase the body weight. Here I am sharing some tips for that.

1. Before breakfast or lunch drink a glass of water. This decreases hunger and you can perform physical activity easily.
2. During night while going to sleep do not sleep just for sleep according to the survey if women take suffcient sleep their metabolism increases to 40 % .
3. Take ginger, red chilli,black pepper etc. in daily diet this helps in fat burning capacity upto 25 % .
4. One should not consume A (alcohol), B (bread), C ( complex carbohydrates) .
5. One should not take food after midnight.
6. Do not skip the breakfast .
7. Select the snacks that keeps you satisfied for a longer time and you do not feel the hunger very often.e.g- ---do not eat not ice-creams but preferably eat popcorn and fruits.
8. To buy vegetables you yourself should go walking to the market or the shopping mall.
9. Do not keep chips and readymade snacks in the kitchen

i heard from some source that drinking water before having food will reduce digestions..is that true?

Kittyana, helpful tips except drinking water before food.
Aarthy, Even I read it in yoga journals , not to drink fluids before food and after food.
Drink hot water after your main meals, It is better to wait for 1 hour but if you cannot wait so long its okay.

Hot water is very good for digestion. If you drink water in between while eating, water dilutes digestive juices. Avoid drinking water while eating.

Kittyana very helpful tips. I dont know about keeping away junk food but surely can follow other tips like drinking water before meal.
