Defination of beauty changes according to the culture. Indian wife becoems beautiful when she cooks, cleans. I am motivated to put together few words describing difference between how western women is looked at and how Indain women is loked at. This is not rtue in all the cases so enjoy beautiful words as a fun. Dont get too serious. cmmn girls chill out.
Western beauty V/S Indian Beauty

Western beauty
The beauty of a woman
is in the clothes she wears,
the figure that she carries,
hairstyle she carries
Love is as deep as she adds inches to her shoes.

Indian beauty
The beauty of a woman
isn't in the clothes she wears,
the figure that she carries,
or the way she combs her hair.
It’s the food she makes,
It’s the crap she takes.
It’s the mess she cleans,
And paycheck she brings.

Gone are the days where
true beauty in a woman,
is reflected by her soul.

Of course western beauty still hold true
For a neighboring women.

Bani, you have a point here of what is basically expected from a women. It all depends on the culture too. Very nice words with irony, sarcasm and humour

Bani I can say one line that is

Tusssssssssssssssssssi great ho loved the way you have expressed yourself kudos :)

Here is my entry

I am beautiful and so you are

When I landed in this wonderful world. I cried loudly and my mother whispered in my ears “You are beautiful” and I stopped crying. See the magnet in the word who calmed me at my arrival on this earth and I find it beautiful.

I started keeping baby steps on the corridor and everyone clapped at me and said “Look at her how beautifully she keeps her steps” I felt even more beautiful.

I started speaking the most beautiful words on this earth Maa (Mother), Bapa (Father), Bhai (Brother), Apa (Sister), Jejma (Granny) Jejebapa (Grandpa), Mousi (Aunty) and so on. I loved talking to them because I find beauty in all these words and persons.

I went to school. I find my teacher beautiful (Sorry I am saying this not to hurt my late teacher who was a male) but as we know beauty lies in the other sense. The method he used to teach us was beautiful. His sticks and kneeling down till now I remember. But those are the beautiful moments because of that I can see the beauty of what I am today.

Friends are always there with you with both beauty and brain here comes into picture. My friends are all beautiful with long and short hair, with more money or less money with more scores or less scores does not matter but they are all beautiful with golden hearts. Those whose brains don’t work that fast also are beautiful like the cute donkey in the picture because they are honest and hard working.

All these beautiful things around me made me more beautiful. I started spending my time in front of mirror. Tried out different hair styles and felt like a princess. I lost the track that these are called outer beauty. I felt I should compete with Aishwarya Rai. Alas !!!!!!!!my dream remained like a dream. I cannot walk on the ramp I don’t have those curves I felt low.

I was declined by many so started doubting at myself. I don’t like being ugly so came up with a new strategy now. I developed my inner strength and told myself you are confident so you are beautiful. No need to prove yourself to the world. Now you see people would say that you are beautiful with a pure heart. Oh my god I can see the changes in me. Suddenly I started blushing and stopped looking at the mirror now I look at in the other’s eyes. I find them beautiful and vise-versa. This strategy really worked like magic.

So ultimately the goal in life is unless and until you discover your inner beauty you cannot say that you are worth of what you are. We are beautiful by our behavior, generosity, words and so on. And to add more to this beautification process we can be humble, self confident and positive. Now I go near the mirror and smile and say.

“Yes I am beautiful, and will always remain beautiful forever”

Pranati, very nice narration. The most beautiful thing is you tailored your image and make you confident for everything.
Today the world is telling you, hey Pranati you are looking beautiful. Beauty cannot be measured on outer scale but on how strong you are from your inner scale.
Lovely Narration.

Sakhis, we all want to be beautiful
Here are few tips to be beautiful
For lotus like lips, speak words of kindness.
For eyes like almonds, look out the good thing in people
For lovely figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hands, give touch of warmth to others
For beautiful fingers, run your fingers lovingly through your child’s hair,
For poise and confidence, walk with the knowledge.
Most important for beautiful heart, spread love.

December 10th, 2010, 07:52 PM

very true bani,
each culture has brought about different notion but men do love a beauty anywhere any age even in their 60's they want a beauty next to them but the inner soul understands and they too understand shop for a beauty but only window shop but shop for the reliable then dont look at the outer cover but something sustaining all through the life...sunkan

sunkan
December 10th, 2010, 07:58 PM
pranati all those confidence filled lines went down when u felt u r not up to others it the others who do not know your beauty and there is sure someone waiting and he would defenitely come when he comes u may need more strength to accept his other qualities too so seek for the mental rapport man and not the outer handsome as that would fade but the inner one will always remain a good one here..sunkan

1874 Turn me on
The innocent smile of a baby what a turn on
The mother bird feeding the babe what a turn on
The licking of wild cats and picking them to safety oh! what a turn on
The flying bird painting the sky what a turn on

The morning sun so bright to wake what a turn on
The evening sun that brings life to the sky oh what a turn on
The rare wild animal relation what a turn on
The dew dipped roses filling with fragrance what a turn on
The dew dressed grass soothing and chilling what a turn on
The first little shower of the summer oh what a turn on
The first spring opening scene with bees buzzing on buds oh what a turn on
The surprise spread to tuck in hunger oh what a turn on
The gifting of things to poorer lot oh what a turn on
The hug of assurance that I am there not to worry what a turn on
So many things to share and spread I could go on and on….sunkan
