Wondering why did Aamir Khan go all the way to make 6+ packs and tone his body for a year to knock down a silly looking villain in Gajini? Gajini is directed by A R Murugadoss and is a remake of a tamil movie with the same name. It is inspired by Hollywood psychological thriller Momento. Gajini is the name of the villain played by Pradeep Rawat who looked stupid in white shoes and a gold tooth! A thin Aamir Khan could also easily knock him off!! AK suffers from Anterograde Amnesia (short term memory loss) who single handedly avenges the murder of his lady love Kalpana played by Asin Thottumkal. Jiah Khan plays a curious medical college student and helps Sanjay (AK) overcome the avenge emotions in him.
I feel the editing was not good and some scenes were longer than required making us yawn!
If you are a fan of AK, you will love to watch him act. He has arrived once again.
The song “Gujharish” has caught up with the mass sung by Javed Ali.

Hey Mals,
After reading your review of Hindi Gajini, I decided I am not watching it as the original Tamil movie is a real good hit. Actor Surya have done a real great job.

I liked Gajini before intermission. Asin Thottumkal has acted very well. Mals, I agree with you, AK did not have to go all the way to make 6+ packs and tone his body for a year to knock down a silly looking villain in Gajini? Jiah Khan Looks like needed waxing on the face.
Let me know if you gals saw any good movies of Asin Thottumkal. I liked her acting.

I feel if AK had just made this movie a comedy love story he would have made it a hit instead of a thriller with stunts which were not needed and trying to portrait himself has hulk where actually he did not need to animate himself has they did in the movie HULk. They should remake this movie edit all the fights and make it a comedy love story. I am sure everybody loved to watch the flash-back in this movie.

Hi Mukti,
Asin is a South Indian actress and I do not see any South movies.
It was looking so silly of AK to go and build a body to knock off a boring villian!!
AK we did not expect that from you though you share the surname with some other silly actors.

Hi Revs,
I was wondering why are they often showing AK's body building regiment in the dish TV channels, when they have nothing else to say in the movie, they will try and promote AK's packs and biceps!!
Unfortunately, he will not be called by any Hollywood Producers too as AK is too short for the tall and sexy stars of Hollywood.

Hi Mukti,
I have seen a few of her movies. She is a real good. In her first movie M. Kumaran, son of Mahalaxmi, she have proved herself. She have a long list of movies to her score. Her latest are, Majaa with Vikram, Sivakasi and Pokkiri with Vijay, Vel with Surya( the hero who did Gajini Tamil), aalwar and Varalaru with Ajith, and her latest hit is with Kamalhasan - Dasavatharm.
To know more about her check this out http://www.asinonline.com/ - Asin's Website

To like Gajini you need to be Ak's big fan. Asin has done a good job in the movie. I liked the first part of the movie. AK did not have to build his body to kill that "lakdi Pelvaan" :).
May be he was trying for Hollywood movie but Aamir Ji aapke height ki heroine hollywood me nahi hai, aap bollywood me hi thikh hai.

Hi Mukthi,
Us kadi Pehelvan ko maar girane ke liye Aamir ne itna body banayaa aur apni zindagi ka ek saal daav pe lagaaya!
Ya SRK ko harane ke liye usne ye karishma kar dikhaya!!
Filmy Politics yaaron, Filmy Politics.

Bechara AK must have suffered a lot to compete with SRK. One year is too long AK.
Aamir aab samaj me aaya ki SRK ko compete karne ka apane bas ki baat nahi hai.

I am looking at Aamir's point of view, hard work and determination to build up a lean body is not so easy, whether it is for competition of knocking that kadi pehalvan.
At least he made the audience watch the movie, unlike Rab Ne.. where SRK's fans ran miles away from him and his movie.

Hi Tweety,
I think Abhishek did nothing to tone his muscles but his Guru was a hit, may be AK is uncomfortable and insecured as his co-stars have build solid muscles and packs!
He He!!

Hi Sumi,
Mein reality show "Pehchan Kaun" serial dekh rahi thi, usme ek candidate did Charlie Chaplin act. The judges asked him, "Why he chose to ape Charlie Chaplin only?". The candidate said, "Saab, mera height bhi uthna hee hain," The judge replied, "Then Aamir should also try to ape Charlie Chaplin as he is also Bhutka!"

Hi Sumi,
You are more brilliant dearie, you are an ardent fan of AK, yet you take all the tidbit criticism so sportingly! Thats the spirit, like a true sakhi.
By the way, I am also a fan of AK's acting abilities, butka ho ya gutka!!

AK and team has put in efforts in making of Gajini. I enjoyed first half of the movie, second half was too much violence and mental disturbance.
It is a good movie in general.

I enjoyed the choreography and music of the song "Gujarish".
The movie flopped at the box office as the screen play went loose in between.
