This is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to eradicate the fear of death and keep sickness away if chanted regularly. Though there are strenous rules to chant mantras, in a fast city, we can always reicte it 11 times during our daily prayer regime.

yeah mantra bahut labhkaari hai hum sab ke jeevan ke liye ..isliye humey issey roz bolna chahiye ...

mals, today I was talking to my mother and one of the preist told her that if you say maha mritanjay mantra incorrect way god will curse you and your family. Inspite of explaining her so many times she woul not lsten. i gave up and chanting mantra.
This preist na .. I ill tell you, they can brain wash people like anything.

Any mantra or shloka in sanskirt has to be narrated correctly with proper uchara, that is what the learned sages have said.
This is a basic mantra, after listening to it many times, one learns to pick it up fast.
Yes, if you read the vedic books, there are certain rules and procedures to be followed before reciting this mantra.
