My hubby has given up on onion. I cook without onion but sometimes tend to chop raw onion and add to my dishes.
I had read here an article by Sunkan that cut onion should not be stored as it absorbs all germs from air. I cannot find that article and don't remember if there was any suggestion on storing half cut onion. Any suggestion please.

Manda, store unused onion in airtight container or sandwich bag in the fridge.

True manda they turn poisonous so try to use a small one or make it into salad and finish it off

Sunkan, even if we store onions in the fridge they turn poisonous.

Thanks Pinky, Sunkan and Tulip for stepping in.
Sunkan, you are right I will try to use as much as I can and not store it. Thanks Sakhis.

it's a tip that my mom uses...always store chopped onions dipped in water! Try not to refrigerate it as it dries the onions up. Hope it helps!
