Why do we have eyebrows?

I was teaching my neice body parts and its function and she asked me "why do we have eyebrows?"
I promised her reply by sunday, can anybody answer thsi questions?

Thank you Mals for your quick response. I told my neice that other than for beauty and to express ourselves it is used to keep moisture away from the eys by diverting sweat and rain water entering the eyes.
She replied to me " Eyes do not need water from outside as it has lot of water which comes out when we cry" :)

I think there is one more role that Eyebrow did is that when we scratch our head the eye brows collect all the dirt / dandruff fall from the head OR restrict them directly going to eyes.
