I had infertility issue and did lot of pujas, treatment and so many things. Finally I am pregnant. I am staying at my mothers place and she does not allow me to eat enough out of fear that I will loose my pregnancy.
I feel hungry all the time. My hubby is in Dubai and my in laws have their own issues.
My mother give me 1 roti with half glass of milk for breakfast.
Lunch will be 1 roti, 1 small katori of dal, rice little bit and 2 spoons of veggies.
then dinner is 1 roti and milk.
My mother is not doing all this out of hatred but she loves me and thinks that I will loose my pregnancy if I eat more.
Her list of Don't eat food during pregnancy is
Papaya, pineapple which I agree but list continues
dont eat during pregnancy
apple, watermelon, banana, grapes, chikoo, mango, etc
spinach, methi, ragi, cauliflower and list continues.
What do I do? My hubby is in Dubai and he will come and visit me during my delivery. I cannot think of anything else. I am only daughter and my father passed away couple of years back. There is no other close family where I can go and live. I dont want to hurt my mother also.
Please help me

Dear Manju, Congrates!!!!
Your baby is most important to you right now. Why son't you ask your OB/GYN to talk to your mother about diet during pregnancy.

pl take her to the GYN and help urself properly otherwise the baby would grow too big to deliver and may eat into your nutrition as it needs to grow and you will have no strength during delivary, kindly have a proper diet planned with all the fruits it is only initially u dont need papaya or pineapple later u can have all stuff which u feel is good for you or which u like a lot, go ahead and eat moderately not excessive but do not starve, my second one grew too big as i was vomiting a lot and never used to eat anything and i lost my hearing after the child birth so kindly consult a doc and take corrective measures now...

Manju, its only that your mother has become more careful about you and is just scared about what may happen. Now that everything is fine..you start eating nutritious and healthy food. Take good care.

Poornima, my mother is overreacting because of prior bitter experiences.
I don't blame her but glad that everything is fine now.
