dear friends, lavanya has written a real mindblowing post and since,i am also fatty,i have already started my weight reduction programme since three months.it is a bit slow,i lost 5 kg only, but i have hypothyroidism so..,
i am following some tips which you may follow:
1) eat small meals.divide your 2 major meals into 5 portions.this way ,you are not craving to eat all the time.
2) try to avoid sleeping after your lunch.afternoon napping of 10 minutes is of great help rather than sleeping for 2 hours.
3) keep active ,less sitting, and take maximum steps whereaver you can.so even if you are not able to walk regularly, you find the same benifit.
4)i do not do dieting, since you gain again once you leave it.i have just reduced the suger intake and less of oils,i take smaller portions if i feel tempting.
5) i ahd lost 30 kg before 8 years but gained it back, since i was taking medicines for conceiving.now i have stopped every medicine and just concentrating on weight loss.
6) aim for small targets.my aim is to loose only 2 kg per month.this is easy
to mantain for a long term goal.
7) what ever you eat, should not exceed what you burn.a 30 minute walk is very very much benificial.

Hi Jyothi,
In my case, I gain weight when I am happy from the core of my heart. No matter what I eat, I will not put on weight if I am paddling with some tensions or usual worries.
I am not obese and was never thin!

Hi Jyoti,
Good one.... I just want to add a littleto what u said thats my experience on weight reduction.
1: Eat 3 proper meals at right time like 8:30am breakfast. 12:30-1:00pm lunch and have dinner like at 7:00-7:30 pm and if you really feel very hungry while sleeping have a glass of milk or some soup of ur choice. Its good to have a heavy breakfast then a medium lunch and a light dinner. But then if u crave in between u can always have some healthy snacks like fruits. Do not eat lot of fruits at night.
2:In the night after dinner just have a small walk in the house itself dont sleep soon after dinner avoid doing this.
3:A regular 30 min walk is a must jyothi i agree to this point its very important.
4: Do not diet it only spoils ur health and makes u grow more fatter.
5:One of the tips eat lot of salads at the beginning of the meal. Avoid eating sweet in the beginning of the meal because that sugar is directly stored as fats in ur body.
6:Sleep well and do not stress urself if stressed do some yoga. There are some great pranayama yogas on the youtube site. Meditate a while if possible this willhelp calm ur mind and get a good nite sleep.
7: Do not totally stop eating ghee oil and carbohydrates our body needs everything in equal quantities else we start feeling week. Do not overeat eat in limited quantities.
8:Lastly enjoy every bit of what you do and have fun keep smilng and laughing at the end of the dayu need to be happy.
regards

dear gauri,in fact,i should have read my own thread once again,i am failing to stick to these points and i fear i will put on wt.so,thanks a lot for your post in right time to make me alert.:)you have added very important points.i never prefer dieting.i take adequate amount of fats and carbohydrates.crash dieting may reduce your wt.in short time, but then, hair fall, dry wrinkled skin, are the side effects.
