This can be taken by diabetics, pregnant woman too.
Ingredients:
Oats - 2 tbspn
Jeera - 1/4 tspn
Garlic flakes - 10 to 12
Milk - 1/2 cup
Water - 1 1/2 cup
Salt - to taste
Method:
Mix milk and water and let it boil
To it add the garlic flakes and bake it.
Add the oats when the garlic flakes have cooked 3/4th. (Filter the garlic flakes and mash them a little before adding the oats.)
Add jeera when the oats is cooked in the milk.
Add salt. Serve hot
Tips:
You can substitute butter milk if you dont like milk. (If you are using butter milk dont boil it). You can also use butter milk even after preparing the porridge kanji in the above given method.
You can have equal quantity of milk and water also.
If you are adding buttermilk, to enhance the taste add little hing (asafodeita) also to this.
