I am trying to change my lifestyle to healthy eating. Can anybody suggest some tips on healthy diet which is realistic. It is easy to alter your lifestyle to realistic diet and unrealistic diets are short term for me.

I agree with you totally about relaistic diet. You make changes to your diet according to book and it gets difficult to follow.
Breakfast suggestion: Lemon juice with honey with moong sprouts, fruits. The day you dont like to eat this you can have regular breakfast like bread, chappati, cereal. Make the transition slowly.

Dear Sakhi,
Healthy diet tip -----is to include proteins in diet as proteins give us the energy to get up and go and keep going. The sources of protein are beans, nuts like almonds, walnuts, pistachios, soy products like tofu, but avoid salted and refried beans.
protein sources are animal proteins such as milk, meat, poultry, cheese, eggs vegetable proteins are from grains, legumes, nuts, seeds and beans, rice and dry beans are incomplete proteins but together provide all of the essential amino acids our body needs. Here I am sharing two protein snacks which are very easy to prepare.
1. PROTEIN PANCAKES
INGREDIENTS
1.teacup moong dal,
2 200 gms white gourd,
3.3 green chilies,
4.3 tbsp.fresh low fat yoghurt.
5.a pinch of asafoetida.
6.salt to taste.
7. two tomatoes chopped.
8. finely chopped green chilies.
9.2-3 tbsp.chopped coriander .
10. 1 tsp. extra virgin oil.
METHOD
1.FOR THE BATTER- soak the dal for three to four hours.grind the soaked dal with green chilies and yoghurt.Add asafoetida and salt , mix well.To proceed heat a non-stick tawa and spread a little moong dal mixture and oil on it.Then spread a little stuffing and smear the oil on the sides.Turn upside down and cook again for a few minutes.Repeat with the remaining mixture and stuffing.Serve hot with the mint chutney or sweet chutney. The stuffing is prepared using the white gourd.
2. PANEER WRAP
INGREDIENTS
1. 100 gms grated paneer.
2. 100 gms boiled french beans
3. 1 cup chopped coriander .
4. 2 chopped carrots
5. 1 chopped onion.
6. 1 tsp. jeera.
7. juice of one lemon.
8. half tsp. red pepperika.
9. 1 tsp. extra virgin oil.
10. 100 gms whole wheat flour.
METHOD
Make the flour rotis from the whole wheat flour.Grate the paneer and add all the ingredients to it beside oil.Saute it in oil and place it on roti and roll it.Have it with green chutney or salsa. The dough can be prepared the day before. All the ingredients can be chopped the day before.
Enjoy the above healthy diets and do keep in mind that water is a vital part of healthy diet as it makes up about 75% of our bodies and helps flush our systems of waste products and toxins.Yet many people go through life dehyderated causing tiredness, low energy and headaches.Caffeinated beverages cause the body to lose water.Fresh fruits and vegetables contain plenty of water and can help with hydration, especially when we are looking for an alternative to our eighth glass of water for the day.
These days I have started keeping water in coloured bottles and keep them in sun from morning to evening and drink them at night or the other day and I also use the magnetised water , for this I keep the water in a bottle anyone available the glass or plastic on a magnetic stand the whole night and drink them the other day and keeping in mind that this magnetised water should not be boiled or refrigerated , as said the above procedures give us a better health.
If any one of the sakhis is interested in getting the magnetic stand I will give u the address where to get from but if u take from me it will be 40% off as I the institute from which I have done the course gives this benefit to their student or u can get it at your home through their website.Do let me know.
