olive oil has an ingredient called oleokanthal that reduces inflammation.it inhibits the enzymes that lead to inflammation, which is linked to heart disease, stroke, dementia, and cancer.fresh extra-virgin olive oil has the highest concentrations.
pomengranate juice is heart healthy, but that's not all.certain anti oxidents from the persian fruit may thwart osteoarthritis.researchers at Case Western Researve University found that pomengranate extract slowed the overproduction of enzymes thought to be responsible for the destruction of cartilage, the coating that protects bones and helps them glide past weach other.try drinking half a cup of pomengranate juice a day to reap the potential benifits.

Olive Oil has many medicinal values and in abroad people cook only with olive oil. In India we are still stuck with our bran and soya and groundnut and coconut oils.

Jyoti, thanks for the information. I use canola oil for typical Indian recipes and use olive oil for non-Indian recipes. Olive oil is very good for health if consumed in a very limited quantity.

Jyoti, I am aware of not using olive oil for fried food. As olive oil tend to burn if you do deep frying.
I use olive oil in all kinds of pans not only non-stick pans.
