I do computer related job and I have to be infront of computer screen for 8 hours a day sometimes more than that. I have developed dark circles under eyes. Any advice?

It is not possible for you to avoid watching computer screen for so long, papi pet ka sawal hai:)
Try to sleep for 8 hours a day. Do meditation and make sure you get sound sleep.Sleep will help you relax mentally and relax your eyes.

Rest helps for dark cirlces under eyes. Drink plenty of water and wear sunscreen under the syes to avoid wrinkles and dark circles.

keeping ice cold tea bags will get rid of puffiness under eyes and also prevent dark circles

I try this simple and easy method once a week for tired eyes and dark cirlces:Dip cotton pieces in clean,cold water and place them over the eye. Here water is the treating agent. Its coolness soothes the eyes. If you use raose water instead of plain water it is more beneficial.

Applying Kailash Jeevan under eyes provides releif from dark circles if they are due to lack of sleep and also help in sleeping. it is chemical free.. I cannot stop talking about Kailash Jeevan. It can be used for so many different ailments.

Keep thin slicess of potato on your eyes to get rid of dark circles. Potato is a whitening agent for skin. You can use
it on the face also to get rid of suntan.

Dip cotton in cold Rose water and keep it on eyes for 30 minutes once a week. This will help you to get rid of dark circles. You can also start taking multivitamins.

Apply sweet almond oil under the eyes before bed time. This will help get rid of dark circles and also work as anti-wrinkle.

Keeping pieces of cucumber or slices of potato also will help in reducing the dark circles. Washing the eyes with clean and clear water every hour if you have to work in front of computer for a long time, will also help in removing the dark circles.

Hi,

It is not that easy to avoid looking at the computer for a long time. I also have the eyes burning problem.

You can do one thing. Do you sit near the window from where you can look out when you are working? If you are not just shift your eyes every now and then, try to look at least 20 ft away or just palm your eyes for five minutes at least every hour.

Take frequent breaks and give your eyes some rest while using computer. Blink your eyes several times. Washing your eyes with cold water is also helpful as it helps in refreshing your tired eyes. There are many eye exercises which should be followed by computer users.Some of given below:

* Moving your eyes in clockwise and anticlockwise direction is one such effective exercise.

* Rub your palms and then cover your eyes with palm for 60 seconds. It relaxes your tired eyes.

Drinking Lots of Water
One of the main causes of dark circles under eyes is dehydration so drink plenty of water, this will help avoid the problem of having dark circles.

Get Plenty of Sleep
Healthy enough sleep is essential for healthy eyes. At least 7-8 hours a night is recommended to remove dark circles under eyes.

A Healthy Diet
The main focus has been on the anti-oxidant vitamins A, C and E on a daily basis.

Home Remedies:

*Apply cucumber or potato juice below your eyes. You can use slices also.

*Apply milk around eyes to cure the dark circles.

* Wet cotton with rose water and keep on eyes for 10 minutes.

* Massage with almond cream and wipe off with cotton after 5 minutes.

Try Jovees gold under eye cream. This was the same with me also. I tried it and within 15 days it was better. Do regular eye exercises. This eases your eye strain. I also sit before computer for longer periods.and drink plenty of water.

Avoid rubbing your eyes. This tires them more. Instead just blink your eyelids. Blinking is a good massage and exercise to the eyes. Wash ur eyes with cold water...Have good sleep.:)

Try placing thin slices of cucumber on the eyes for atleast 20~30 mins a day.. It gives a soothing feeling for ur eyes n works gr8 against dark circles! Also use Cucumber flavored face wash(u can get it in 'Ayur' face wash), it worked out really well for me.. hnaa, but sufficient sleep is a must!! Take care Sakhi.. :)

potato is very good for dark circles. put slice of potatoes on your eye lids and have a good sleep.
There is no need to remove the slice they automatically out as you open your eyes after the sweet sleep. ha ha ha
