My daughter 8 years old is prescribed prescription glasses but number is not that high. I heard that if the number is not that high, with diet and exercise it can be reduced and also get rid of. Any advice

carrot is high in Vitamin A which helps to improve eyesight. It is diffcilut to eat more than 1 carrot a day. You can consume carrot juice to amke it easier.
I do not guarantee that you can get rid of prescription glasses ast he reason for glasses may be different. i assure carrot juice will stop increasing the number of your glasses.

Fish is very good for eyes as it contains omega's. For vegeterians flex seeds are good as it contains omega's.You can make flax seed chutney, pickles, add to milk shakes, smoothies. Include 1/2 tsp of flex seeds in your diet everyday.

Diet plays an important role in improving eyesight but also make sure she does not watch TV closely and for a long time and does not sit in front of the computer for a long time. Read in a proper lighted place.

hi , i am lavanya. I have one comment to tell you. As others said , eyesight can be improved by diet. But in my own personal experience, eye sight can also be improved by excercise. Infact if you child to younger than 10 year, then it is too easy to correct their sight thro excercise.
If you have time to travell to pondicherry, then take ur child to arvindho ashram, where they give free eye excerise... I went for that treatment, and there is lot of improvement for me. I am 26 now, so it can only be corrected to some extent, but if u take ur child then its too easy..........
If you want any other information do contact me by mail lav.siv@gmail.com

Hi all
ive one small comment about eye care.Cataract has now-a-day become more
common, cutting onions prevent your eyes from cataract and pressure in eyes, coz the sulphur compound that comes out from onion when they are cut react with the moisture in our eyes forming sulfuric acid, that protects our eyes from the above said.

Check this out a website of one of the famous eye hospitals of Mumbai.
You will have a good idea of everything you wanted to know about eye and surgery.
Do not take any risk, if the lady who is 65 is not having diabetes, it is better to get the surgery done before she loses the site of her eye.
Even if she is diabetic, she can be operated after careful monitoring by the surgeons.
I have given you the website link do have a look.
You can take your child to Ramdev Baba's clinic which is spread all over india.
They organize camps regularly, you can take your child and I am sure it will help her reduce the sight.
As I do not believe in re-writing things as my own after copying from other sites, I am giving you the direct links. They send CD's also so that you can learn how to do at home.

dear sucheta,in my younger days,i was very conscious of not wearing spects.i had heard of cutting 3-4 onions daily will prevent eyes from weakening,so i took the responsibility of making salads and gravy.my mother was happiest.i also washed my eyes daily in morning without fail, with TRIFALA SOLUTION(trifala powder soaked in gulabjal overnight and strained next mornig).i dont know weather this worked or something else,i do not wear spects at this ripe age of 43.now,i have started practicing the same again as per the age factor.

Eye sight is a gift of god which once lost is rarely retained.
I request everyone to go for regular check ups and not practice anything without prior consultation from a very senior practioner.
As an individual we have different metabolism and what works on 'A' need not work on 'B'.

There are so many things we can do to improve their eyesight. However, some methods are more effective than others. The problem is only a few people can understand the basic vision problems. The basic dependent on what you eat. Instead, you might think, it is very important to have a diet of nutrients that will help in a specific way your eyes filled.
