My sister and her husband are trying for pregnancy. Her husbands has to travel for his job. My sister need some tips on predicting ovualtion so they can try for pregnanacy at the right time. Any advice out there

You can predict ovulation by taking basal body temperature. First thing in the morning as soon as you wake up chart your body temperature. The day of your ovulation your temperature will surge up. 24 hours around this time frame is very favorable for conceiving.Do not get stressed out and avoid anxiety. There is more stress of ovulation among womens whose hubbys are on travel jobs.

If you are located in India the best way to track your ovulation is ultrasound. The charges for one ovulation study is approximately 500 rupees. It covers all the ultrasound/sonograms needed during that cycle. They can exactly tell you the day of ovulation. It is very accurate.
If you are in USA not many health insurance will cover ovulation study. Your best bet would be to use ovualtion testing strips which costs around 20 dollars if you have 30 days cycle. If your cycles are lengthy you may have to invest more money. Nothing can replace accuracy of ultrasound.

You can track your ovulation with cervical mucus. When you ovulate, the quantity of mucus will increase and cervical mucous will resemble "egg white". Sometimes clear or semitransparent, the texture will become slippery or "stretchable"'. When cervical mucus stretches like egg white, this is the most fertile period.
Wash your hands before and after you check the cervical mucus to avoid infection.

You can get different ovulation predictor available like saliva microscope, watch, test strips. You can buy it according to your need and availability. I agree with cervical mucus and body temperature. In addition to it wear dark color underwear from 10 to 20th day depending on the length of the cycle. Your cervical fluid during ovualtion will make vertical white lines on underwear.
