    It was started in August, 2013 with a retail outlet in Byculla. It was started with 20 products and today has 1000 odd products. It began with retail gifting and now do a host of corporate gifting, Diwali gifts and concept gifts for events as well like baby shower, re-branding activities of companies, themed parties etc.
    Two inspiring minds, “Rahul Chandalia”, and “Saloni Chandalia” came together and RednBrown was born.

    1. NS: Why and how did you come up with the name RednBrown and concept behind RednBrown?
    RednBrown”“Red” stands for love and “Brown” the Humans. So we deliver your gifts and love to Humans through “RednBrown.com”.
    If you go to a Lifestyle today, it is a one-stop shop for all your apparel needs- tops, bottoms, shoes, accessories, all you need to be completely dressed. All brands under one roof. The idea and inspiration was this—why not have a one-stop gift store with a twist. So, we got branded cake stores under one roof (which is the first ever of its type till now :-).
    Talking of Bouquets- We have unique “alcohol miniature bouquets arrangement”. A chocolate bouquet in a bucket arrangement, goodies hamper in a Jewelry briefcase. It’s not the regular, and it pretty much goes with today’s trend. Making an arrangement that is “USABLE”.
    Gifts –Our Gifts reflect our passion and commitment to “Deliver happiness” to your doorstep. As much as the gifts be surely out of the box – 1) Like Bird cages-turned into lamps and Lights for occasion. Great home décor accent. 2) Tissue rolls that are personalized with messages, 3) Coasters that look and smell like chocolate and so much more!     At RednBrown, we also take extra care in “Gift wrapping” the gifts/ hampers as well. As much us the gift is important, the way you present it is equally important.

    2. NS: What inspired you to start RednBrown?
    RednBrown: Our inspiration was the fact, that India was moving online though steadily and if anything had to be begun It had to have a strong online presence, and a unique crowd-puller.
    We both are Major in Finance with MBA done from Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai in 2008-2010. Post that, I went to pursue my Corporate Banking career which lasted 2 years. Rahul also pursued and is pursuing his family business in Textiles. I quit my job and with the two of us researching and getting things for business in place took over a year.
    Why Gifting segment – So, I would say it’s a little filmy. We, Rahul and I started dating back in college. We use to gift each other on occasions and otherwise, but they wouldn’t be those picked ready from a store. It use to be personalized, lot of heart and work put into it. Little, big and different things. We got married and 2 years later we thought why not do “Gifts” which is just not materialistic but also a touch of emotions. By that I mean a personalized gift is what our aim was and is.
    We always knew that job is not forever. Working for one-self and being your own boss is so much better. After all we come from A Gujarati and Marwari background. Community of businessmen, the entrepreneurship is in the blood.
    We wanted to always start something that reflects the two-of us. The kind of people we - love to travel, exploring new things. That adds a lot of flavor to our gifts. They are fresh!

    3. NS: What are your future plans for RednBrown?
    RednBrown: We have developed our niche line of “Stylish Home décor” products. They are unique and surely add character! We are looking to have a bigger market place online as well as offline for these products.
    We are already selling them on “Pepperfry.com”, “Styletag.com”. Supplying to some plush florists and select interior designers. Looking forward for some great tie-ups with “Home-décor” companies.
    We want to reach a greater target audience, when it comes to Personalized Gifts.
    We have entered corporate gifting and some great products which are not the typical boring products we think of when we talk corporate gifts. We offer some great personalization and unexplored exciting office and gift products.
    We want to reach a greater audience and keep creating more and more for them as per their needs!
    We have joined this fantastic group of networking business people called BNI. This helps us get connects in the corporate world.
    1) We would like to go slow. We want to spread online faster. But, another retail store will come with time.
    2) We also with the host of personalized option and one-stop store have got offers for managing events for groups and parties. So, will want to get into events, but not immediate. But, that’s on the cards for sure!


    4. NS: What are the challenged you faced and how did you resolve them?
    RednBrown: Manpower- Biggest challenge. As during season time we always need more manpower and that’s most times challenging to find.
    Since, each customer is unique and they expect something different from you each time, it is a challenge to create something “new” each time. Though we would proudly say have been meeting these challenges most times.
    Like any start-up company would face, we do face challenges of reaching a greater audience and a bigger market.

    5. NS: How is RednBrown different from other similar business?

    6. NS:Who is motivating force behind your venture?
    RedNBrown: To be frank, more than anyone it’s our Customers! They have so much faith on you, which you just pep you up. We have more than 80% of repeat customers and that’s are driving force to progress and motivation to grow.
    Of course there are challenges that only we know, and being partners for life, and then business partners helps you a lot in supporting each other through any odds.

    Raw Banana Bharta- Kele ka bharta

    Raw banana Bharta is best during Ekadashi or fasting time. Healthy, easy to make and it keeps you filled for a long time.

    3 Raw Banana 3 कच्चे केले
    1 tsp Ghee or oil 1 चम्मच घी या तेल
    ¼ tsp cumin seeds १/4 छोटा चम्मच जीरा
    3-4 Curry leaves 3-4 कड़ी पत्ते
