    Cracked heels are a very common problem and cracked heels are common during winter season.

    In addition to dry, thickened skin, there are symptoms like redness, itching, inflammation and peeling of skin. Taking the right r precautions can prevent cracks from getting worst and pain.
    Some of the causes of cracked heels are dry air, lack of moisture, improper foot care, an unhealthy diet, aging, prolonged standing on hard floors and wearing the wrong types of footwear along with medical issues like diabetes, eczema, psoriasis, etc.

    Home remedies for cracked heels

    Soak your feet in lukewarm water for 15-20 minutes. (you can add Epsom salt and few drops of oil to the water.)
    Pat them Dry
    Moisturize your feet with oil or Ghee every night.
    Wear a pair of socks at night.
    Wash your feet next day morning.
    Hydrate your body by drinking lot of fluids including water.
    Eat Healthy
    Relax and sleep for at least 7 hours

    Home made scrub

    Sugar 4 tbsp
    Honey 2 tbsp
    Olive oil 1 tbsp
    Baking Soda 1 tbsp

    Mix all the ingredients together and massage your feet with this scrub for 15-20 minutes.
    Rinse with water. Pat dry.
    Apply this twice a week for 2 months and see the results.
    Sugar and baking soda helps to remove dead skin.
    Honey helps to soothe and dry skin.
    Oil will help to moisturize dry skin.
